An accurate quote starts with an accurate request. When we find everything we need in it, you get the price, vehicle type and expected times within 2 hours, one dispatcher contact and documents delivered with the shipment. It takes only a few details, which your production usually has at hand.
Request checklist
- Loading and unloading places. Full addresses, not just the town. We also check vehicle access.
- Time windows. Loading and unloading often run in reserved slots set by the consignee. Send them with the request.
- Dimensions and weight. Length, width, height and weight of the shipment. We choose the vehicle from them.
- Pallets and gitterboxes. Number, dimensions and whether the goods are stackable. For groupage (LTL) this is key.
- Date. The required loading or delivery day. For a fixed slot, order at least a day ahead.
- ADR. UN number, class, packing group, weight and package type.
- Temperature control. The required range in which the goods must travel.
- Goods value. The carrier's liability is covered by CMR insurance. For higher-value goods we arrange extra insurance.
- Special requirements. Oversize, express delivery, weekend loading, ramp or tail lift.
Send the request through our quotation form or call dispatch. Copying the checklist into it takes a few minutes, and the quote arrives within 2 hours.
What happens after you send it
- Quote within 2 hours. You receive the price, vehicle type and expected times.
- Confirmation. We confirm the order in writing.
- Vehicle. We choose the vehicle by shipment: van, rigid truck, semi-trailer, refrigerated or ADR transport.
- One contact. A dispatcher manages the shipment from loading to unloading.
- Documents. The confirmed CMR consignment note is handed over with the shipment.
Common mistakes in requests
- The exact address or unloading time window is missing.
- Weight is given without packaging and pallets.
- For ADR, the UN number or packing group is missing.
- The request arrives on the loading day, although the slot is fixed.
- The goods value appears only after the order.
- A temperature or ramp requirement is mentioned only at loading.
Each of them means extra questions and lost time. We change a price afterwards only when the scope of the shipment changes, and we always adjust it in advance.
What a good request looks like
A good request fits into a few sentences: from town A to town B, the number of pallets and their total weight, the day and hours of loading, the day and hour of unloading, and whether the goods are stackable. Add a contact for a person who can answer follow-up questions. We can price such a request without another call, and the quotation shows the price, the vehicle and the expected times.
Why it pays to refine the request
A missing detail shows up sooner or later: as an extra question, a change of vehicle or a shifted date. The time you spend on the request comes back as a faster and more accurate quote. If you are unsure about a detail, say so in the request. A dispatcher helps you complete it over the phone, and we confirm the price only after the brief is clear.
What is happening on the market
In Germany, a driving ban for trucks above 7.5 tonnes applied on Saturday, 3 October 2026, German Unity Day, from 00:00 to 22:00 on federal roads and motorways. The regular Sunday ban followed straight after, so according to the source trucks stood still from Saturday 00:00 until Sunday 22:00. Exemptions included, for example, fresh food, mail, empty containers and combined transport. Holiday and weekend bans like this affect loading and unloading dates. State fixed time windows in your request and we will confirm a date that accounts for the restrictions. Source: nakordoni.eu, 27 September 2026.
