Freight transport to and from Austria

Austria is a matter of hours from Bratislava, so loading and unloading often fit into the same working day. We carry full loads and part loads alike, into the industrial regions in the east and into the Alpine states.

Austrian lanes from Bratislava and Slovakia

The shortest lanes in our portfolio. Most shipments go to the Vienna area and to the industrial towns along the Danube.

Vienna and Lower Austria

An hour's drive from Bratislava — suitable for same-day unloading and for regular lanes alike.

Linz, Wels, Steyr

The industrial belt along the Danube: engineering, steel and automotive components.

Graz and Styria

Southern Austria, served as full loads and as part loads; the route crosses mountain sections.

Salzburg, Tyrol and on into Germany

Western Austria is often combined with a German loading or unloading on the same drive.

What we carry on Austrian lanes

Components, steel, machinery, packaging material and finished goods on pallets.

Full loads (FTL)

A whole vehicle for one shipment; on a short run the fastest solution.

Part loads (LTL)

A few pallets to or from Austria without the cost of a whole vehicle.

Temperature-controlled

Goods that must not freeze in winter travel in a vehicle with a controlled temperature.

How the order runs

All we need is the loading and unloading address, the number of pallets, the weight and the date. On Austrian lanes a vehicle can often be confirmed straight away, and the quote goes out within 2 hours. After the order you have one dispatch contact following the job through to a signed delivery.

Every shipment travels with a CMR consignment note signed at loading and at unloading, and the carrier's liability is covered by insurance under the CMR convention. Austria is in the European Union, so no customs documents are needed on this lane — the transport document and the papers for the goods are enough.

Austrian tolls and tunnel charges are part of the quoted price, and so are the night and weekend driving restrictions for trucks, which we allow for when planning. If unloading is in a mountain region or a narrow street, we verify the address beforehand and pick a vehicle that can get there.

Transit times — indicative

Ranges from Bratislava and western Slovakia with one driver.

Vienna and Lower Austria
Loading and unloading mostly on the same day.
Linz, Wels, Steyr
The same or the next working day.
Graz and Styria
Usually 1 working day.
Salzburg, Innsbruck
Usually 1 to 2 working days.

The times are indicative and not a binding promise — the unloading window, traffic, driving restrictions and the driver's mandatory rest decide. The date is confirmed in the quote.
