International road freight to and from France

We carry full loads and part loads into France and just as often back out — exports, imports and shipments between two French addresses. The route is planned so the driver arrives inside the booked slot, and you get the signed paperwork right after unloading.

Where we drive in France

French lanes run both ways, east to west and back. Most shipments go to the industrial regions in the east and around Lyon.

Eastern France

Alsace and Lorraine (Strasbourg, Metz, Mulhouse) are the first stop on most of our French lanes — reachable on a single drive without a relay.

Lyon and Rhône-Alpes

Engineering and chemical plants around Lyon and Grenoble, served as full loads and as part loads.

Greater Paris and the north

Industrial goods and components into the Paris area and Hauts-de-France, with loading planned around the slots the logistics centres give.

Within France and back into the EU

Shipments between two French addresses, plus return loads into Germany, Italy and Slovakia.

What we carry into France

Mostly industrial components, packaging material and finished goods off the line. The vehicle fits the shipment, not the other way round.

Full loads (FTL)

Direct delivery with no transhipment — the most dependable choice on a longer westbound run.

Part loads (LTL)

A few pallets into France without a whole vehicle; delivery comes with a wider window.

Temperature-controlled

Food, drinks and heat-sensitive goods in a vehicle with a controlled temperature and a log.

The order, the paperwork and what we need from you

Send the loading and unloading addresses, dimensions, weight and date; for a part load also the number of pallets and whether the goods can be stacked. Within 2 hours you have a quote with the price, the vehicle type and the expected times. The order is confirmed in writing and you get the dispatcher's contact before loading.

Every shipment travels with a CMR consignment note signed at both ends of the route. The carrier's liability is covered by insurance under the CMR convention; higher-value goods can be additionally insured if you state the value in the enquiry. If your customer requires a delivery note or a pallet voucher, we attach it to the transport documents.

Posting a driver to France comes with a notification duty (known there as the Loi Macron) and the driver carries the posting documents in the cab. A driver may also not take the regular weekly rest in the vehicle — we plan the route and the breaks around that. The administration is handled with the carrier; it never lands on you.

How long transport to France takes

Indicative ranges from Slovakia, with one driver and under normal conditions.

Alsace, Lorraine
Usually 1 to 2 working days.
Lyon, Rhône-Alpes
Usually 2 working days.
Paris and Hauts-de-France
Usually 2 to 3 working days.
South and south-west (Toulouse, Bordeaux)
Usually 3 working days, less with a driver relay.

These are indicative times with no guarantee — unloading windows, traffic and the driver's mandatory rest all affect them. The date is confirmed in the quote for the specific shipment.
