Freight transport to and from Hungary

Hungarian lanes are among the shortest we run — from Bratislava and western Slovakia most loading and unloading fits into a single day. The second strong direction goes from Hungarian plants into Germany, which we drive regularly.

Directions to and from Hungary

Most shipments sit in the northern half of the country and on the axis towards German customers.

Budapest and the north-west

Budapest, Győr, Tatabánya and Székesfehérvár — automotive work, components and packaging over a short distance.

From Hungary into Germany

A regular full-load direction: loading at the Hungarian plant, unloading at the German customer with no transhipment.

The east and the south

Kecskemét, Szeged, Debrecen and Miskolc, served as full loads and as part loads; some routes run off the motorway network.

Within Hungary and return loads

Shipments between two Hungarian addresses, plus return loads into Slovakia, Austria or Germany.

What we carry on Hungarian lanes

Automotive and electronics components, plastics, packaging material and finished goods.

Full loads (FTL)

A whole vehicle and direct delivery; on a short run often the fastest option.

Part loads (LTL)

A few pallets to or from Hungary without the cost of a whole vehicle.

Temperature-controlled

Goods that must neither freeze nor overheat — controlled temperature with a log.

How it runs and what we need

Send the loading and unloading addresses, the number of pallets, the weight and the date. The quote arrives within 2 hours; on short Hungarian runs we can often confirm a vehicle the same day. After the order you have one dispatch contact through to unloading.

Every shipment travels with a CMR consignment note signed at loading and at unloading. The carrier's liability is covered by insurance under the CMR convention. Hungary is in the European Union, so no customs documents are needed on this lane — the papers for the goods and the transport document are enough.

Hungarian road tolls and charges are part of the quoted price. Where a route runs off the motorway network we allow for it in both the time and the price. For a shipment that starts and ends in Hungary we place the order with a carrier holding the relevant entitlement.

Transit times — indicative

Ranges from Slovakia with one driver; these are the shortest lanes in our portfolio.

Budapest, Győr, Székesfehérvár
Loading and unloading mostly on the same day.
Debrecen, Szeged, Miskolc
The same or the next working day.
Within Hungary
Usually within one day, depending on the distance.
From Hungary into Germany
Usually 1 to 2 working days.

The times are indicative and not a binding promise — the unloading window, traffic and the driver's mandatory rest decide. The date is confirmed in the quote.
